THE STRUCTURE OF THE BATTERY WITH AGM TECHNOLOGY

AGM stands for Absorbent Glass Mat. Innovative AGM technology with a special separation layer.

It is the latest original equipment technology for vehicles with extended Start-Stop technology with 3 – 4 times higher cyclic strength, which meets the demands of all Start-Stop vehicles and luxury vehicles.

It provides higher charging potentials, which allow more energy to be absorbed from braking energy recovery. Absolute protection against leakage – Absolute safety on slopes and resistance against vibrations up to 360 °

It is characterized by very good starting power even with low battery charge levels. In addition, it stands out for its increased lifespan, without any maintenance at all!

It is essentially the consistent evolution of lead technology with absorbent fiberglass fabric, where the electrolyte is bonded to this fiberglass fabric. Thanks to the higher pressure of the electrode pair, the fiberglass remains in the correct position and is very close to the electrode pair, while the reduction of the active material is thus kept to a minimum.

This technology prevents the formation of an acid layer, the main cause of damage in vehicles with high demands. It gives maximum performance, extremely high cyclic strength and extremely high resistance against vibrations. It is an ideal solution for vehicles with Start-Stop technology, brake energy recovery and a large number of electricity consumers, e.g. BMW EfficientDynamics, VW BlueMotion.

THE STRUCTURE OF THE BATTERY WITH EFB TECHNOLOGY:

EFB stands for Enhanced Flooded Battery.

It is specifically intended for regular Start-Stop vehicles, which do not support additional energy-saving functions.

Compared to the ordinary liquid battery, it is equipped with a special polyester scrim and thicker plates. Polyester scrim for lower pressure held active material firmly on the plate. In this way there is a higher cyclic endurance compared to traditional batteries. As a result, the reduction of active material is thus kept to the lowest possible level.

Current examples for vehicles with this battery technology: Fiat 500 Start-Stop, Toyota Yaris Start-Stop, Ford ECOnetic.
